Anthony V. Policastro practices exclusively in the area of
eminent domain law throughout the State of Florida. Mr. Policastro is
admitted to practice law in Florida and New Jersey. He began his career
in Florida in 1992, as an Assistant County Attorney for Pasco County,
where he litigated eminent domain cases on behalf of the County. After
leaving Pasco County, Mr. Policastro became Assistant General Counsel
for the State of Florida, Department of Transportation in the Eminent
Domain Litigation Division until 1997, when he formed Policastro &
LeRoux, P.A. with John LeRoux.
Mr. Policastro has acted as the lead
counsel representing property owners and condemning authorities in all
phases of eminent domain litigation including order of taking hearings,
mediations and jury trials. Mr. Policastro has been an author and
lecturer on the topic of eminent domain. He was the program co-chair of
the National Business Institute's Controversial Property Rights Seminar
held in Tampa, FL. Mr. Policastro has also been a guest speaker before
the International Right of Way Association and the American Association
of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO).
Mr. Policastro is a member of the Florida Bar Association, New Jersey
Bar Association, Florida Bar Eminent Domain Committee, Association of
Eminent Domain Professionals, Clearwater Bar
Association, American Bar Association, and the American Association for
Justice. He is a graduate of Marquette University and
Creighton University School of Law.
